The Australian marine industry is making a strong impression on the global stage, with numerous BIA members currently attending and exhibiting at prestigious international boat shows across Europe and the USA. It’s inspiring to witness the continued success of our local businesses and manufacturers overseas.
A special congratulations to Riviera Marine, which this week announced a record-breaking shipment of vessels to the United States—a remarkable achievement that highlights the strength of our export market. Marine exports remain a vital contributor to the national economy, and the growing international demand for Australian marine products is translating into more job opportunities for local communities. It’s a win-win for innovation and employment.
All this international buzz is building excitement as we approach the inaugural November edition of the Sydney International ‘On-Water’ Boat Show. With tickets officially released this week, we’ve hit a major milestone. This event promises to be a standout celebration of boating on one of the world’s most iconic waterways. Longer days, warmer weather and the chance for exhibitors to showcase their products, and host customers into the evening make 13–16 November a weekend to mark on the calendar. We’re thrilled to welcome back one of Australia’s most respected marine brands – Maritimo – to this year’s show. It’s fantastic to have you onboard!
Encourage your friends, family and customers to book their tickets online. Strong attendance and exhibitor engagement are key to the BIA’s ability to support the Australian marine industry year-round through our core priorities: Grow Boating, Government Advocacy, Products and Services, and the promotion of Marine Jobs and Careers.
Take a moment to catch up on what the BIA team and the broader marine industry have been up to over the past fortnight; and a very warm welcome to the nine new businesses that joined the BIA family this month—we’re excited to have you aboard.
See you out there,
Andrew Fielding
